Plan Your Trophy Run Before Entering the Studio
A missed recording or an early Chapter 3 choice can send you back through Joey Drew Studios. This Bendy and the Ink Machine trophy guide helps you prepare for those moments before they become extra cleanup. Start this Bendy and the Ink Machine trophy guide by matching your platform’s checklist, then combine story progress with collectibles and optional challenges.
The PS4 platinum and Steam full completion use different lists. Several chapter-specific achievements on PC have no individual PlayStation trophy, even though their collectibles contribute to broader completion goals.
| Platform | Trophy or achievement total | Checklist detail |
|---|---|---|
| PlayStation 4 | 26 trophies | Includes an exclusive platinum |
| Xbox One | 25 achievements | Uses a smaller list than Steam |
| Steam | 61 achievements | Includes additional chapter-specific and hidden achievements |
Keep your platform’s trophy list nearby while following this Bendy and the Ink Machine trophy guide. That prevents you from confusing a Steam-only notification with a requirement on your console.
The Steam 2.1.0 update unlocks every chapter except Archives regardless of progress. It also enables Steam Cloud and addresses several saving, collision, and softlock problems. Older walkthrough instructions about locked chapters and historical bugs need that version context.
Story Trophies to Collect Along the Way
These objectives belong to normal progression. Use them as milestones while giving nearby rooms a separate collectible sweep.
| Achievement | How to unlock |
|---|---|
| Picking Up the Pieces | Collect the six Chapter 1 items needed for the Ink Machine and place them on their pedestals |
| Hello Bendy | Activate the machine, return to its balcony, and escape until the floor collapses |
| My Favorite Song | Solve Chapter 2’s musical instrument puzzle |
| A Special Hat | Recover the valve after crushing Jack Fain |
| Pipes and Problems | Complete Chapter 5’s pipe puzzle and open the vault route |
| To Hell and Back | Finish the main story and watch the epilogue |
For the musical puzzle, listen to the recording inside Wally’s closet. The instrument sequence changes between runs, so follow the sequence you hear rather than memorizing someone else’s combination.

Handle Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 Missables Early
Several optional achievements depend on actions taken before a puzzle or task ends. Work these into your route instead of leaving everything until the chapter’s final objective.

| Achievement | How to unlock |
|---|---|
| Strike Up the Band | Activate the Recording Room projector nine times before solving the musical puzzle, then complete the puzzle |
| Knick-Knack Paddywhack | Retrieve the bone in the starting safehouse and give it to Boris |
| Inner Child | Interact with 25 Bendy dolls |
| Blazing Metal | Set the toy ink blob to the Ink Machine shape, choose the Demon path, survive Alice’s tasks without dying, and collect the Tommy Gun |
For Strike Up the Band, inspect the stage from the upstairs booth. You need nine Bendy cutouts: five across the front and four behind them. Finish the instrument puzzle after assembling the full group.
In Chapter 3, prepare Boris’s soup and open the exit, then return to the room where Henry woke up. The bone is beside the box containing a soup can. Give Boris the bone before leaving; the safehouse door locks behind you.
Set Up the Tommy Gun Before Choosing a Path
The Chapter 3 priority in this Bendy and the Ink Machine trophy guide is Blazing Metal. Its setup begins well before Alice offers the weapon.
- Find the desk behind the movable toy shelves.
- Interact with the ink blob in its bowl until it resembles the Ink Machine.
- Choose the Demon path.
- Complete Alice Angel’s tasks without dying.
- Pick up the Tommy Gun when it becomes available.
Check the toy’s shape again when you return to that room. Delay optional exploration in the stairways until after obtaining the gun, and locate Little Miracle Stations while traveling between objectives.
Both The Path of the Demon and The Path of the Angel require separate Chapter 3 runs. Each route also contains a unique recording, making the alternate path relevant to audio-log completion.
Before handing in the final ink hearts, finish your remaining exploration. Norman’s Fate requires defeating the Projectionist on Level 14; the Tommy Gun lets you attack from above at the initial encounter.
For Long Forgotten Self, use the Tommy Gun or the axe that appears in the previously boarded room after the Butcher Gang attack. Open the boarded area on Level 14, turn its valve, then return to Level P. Follow the passage beside “I DON’T WANT TO WORK HERE ANYMORE” into the drained room and activate its recording.
Track Soup, Audio Logs, Radios, and Secrets
Collectibles deserve their own checklist in any Bendy and the Ink Machine trophy guide. A story objective can carry you past a recording or soup can without requiring you to collect it.

Master of Bacon requires every Bacon Soup can, while The Voice Collector requires all achievement-related audio logs.
The following counts apply to the v1.5-era Steam route. Chapter 4 is excluded from the numerical checklist because its older 19-can count was later corrected to 20.
| Chapter | Bacon Soup cans | Audio logs | Location to prioritize |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chapter 1 | 21 | 2 | Collect 19 cans before activating the machine and two after falling |
| Chapter 2 | 31 | 7 | Collect 23 cans before opening the initial shutter |
| Chapter 3 | 42 | 10 distinct recordings across both paths | Search the safehouse, both route branches, and stairways |
| Chapter 5 | 7 | 5 counted recordings | Search the starting room and Administration |
In Chapter 3, a soup can appears in the safehouse bathroom after opening the exit. Return for it before leaving. The stairways contain 19 cans in the v1.5-era layout, so mark each landing as you search.
Chapter 5’s seven cans are split between the starting room and Administration. Four are in the opening room; the other three are near Joey Drew’s office and in the small room opposite it.
Write down what you collect as you go. The older Steam route lacks an in-game soup counter, and several areas become inaccessible as the chapter advances.
Find the Hidden Radios
The radio locations give you a manageable side checklist:
- Chapter 1: Enter the small office containing the vinyl record near the “DREAMS COME TRUE” hallway.
- Chapter 2: Switch on the radio inside Sammy’s office.
- Chapter 3: On Level 11, enter the room immediately right of the elevator and look left.
- Chapter 4: Set the ink machine’s dial to the radio shape, insert an ink blob, create the radio, and activate it.
- Chapter 5: Open the closed box immediately left after entering the vault proper.
On Steam, activating all five contributes to Gold Record.
Search Behind the “SHEEP SONGS!” Posters
The hidden theMeatly encounters contribute to Grand Puppeteer on Steam. Their timing matters as much as their locations.
In Chapter 1, revisit Boris’s operating-table room after activating the Ink Machine. In Chapter 2, check the other room along the pipe-organ hallway after operating the pump control.
For Chapter 3, return to Level P after surviving the Butcher Gang attack. In Chapter 4, revisit Management after opening the Archives door, before entering Archives. In Chapter 5, complete the pipe puzzle and obtain the “Search the Vault” objective before entering the secret room near Joey’s office.
Clear Chapter 4 Challenges and Chapter 5 Combat Goals
This part of the Bendy and the Ink Machine trophy guide covers optional objectives that need more than reaching the next story marker.

| Achievement | How to unlock |
|---|---|
| Bulls Eye | Earn a perfect score in Bull’s Eye Bonanaza without missing |
| Call The Milk Man | Knock down all nine Bottle Wallop bottles using three balls |
| Wasting Time | Ring the strength-test bell by swinging when the hammer is farthest back |
| Going To Be Sick | Enter a Bertrum ride seat during the boss battle |
| Unlikely Victory | Complete Chapter 4 using the plunger in the Boris fight |
| Valued Employee | Finish Chapter 5’s Administration pipe puzzle without being spotted by the Butcher Gang |
For Bulls Eye, practice the fixed target sequence. For Call The Milk Man, release the ball near the bottom of its motion for a faster throw and aim at the lower bottles.
During Bertrum’s fight, wait for an arm to slam down. Before destroying its exposed joints, approach a seat and interact with it for Going To Be Sick. Then resume attacking the joints to finish the battle.
Collect the Plunger Dial Before the Haunted House
After restoring power to the Haunted House, return to upper Maintenance. Open the previously inaccessible trunk near the switch and take its dial.
During the Boris fight, replace the machine’s existing dial and select the plunger output. Use the ink blobs Boris drops to manufacture replacement plungers; each lasts one successful hit.
Keep moving during his aerial slams. In the final phase, dodge the thrown carts before approaching for the finishing strike.
Separate Fast Combat From Patient Stealth
In the v1.5.1.0 Steam harbor battle, Aggression requires completing the encounter within 2:30 without dying. Prioritize Searchers because they take fewer hits. Goldbricking uses a 15-ally-kill requirement in that version.
Administration asks for a different pace. For Valued Employee, identify the ink pool, pipe-making machine, hiding stations, and puzzle before committing to trips through the patrol routes. Wait for enemies to pass and move between rooms when the hallway clears.
Follow This Full Completion Order
Use this Bendy and the Ink Machine trophy guide as an ordered checklist, then compare your remaining goals against your platform’s actual list.
- Clear Chapter 1 thoroughly. Combine the six-item objective with soup, both recordings, the radio, and the hidden encounter.
- Prepare Chapter 2’s stage before solving its puzzle. Assemble all nine cutouts, then use your recording’s instrument sequence.
- Make the Demon route your Chapter 3 weapon run. Set the toy correctly, avoid deaths during Alice’s tasks, and collect the Tommy Gun before optional combat.
- Finish Chapter 3 exploration before returning the hearts. Handle the Projectionist, sunken room, stairway soup, and remaining secrets.
- Complete Chapter 4’s optional activities before advancing. Get the perfect minigame scores, ride Bertrum, and collect the plunger dial before entering the Haunted House.
- Plan Chapter 5’s combat and stealth separately. Then collect the Administration recordings, soup, hidden encounter, and vault radio.
- Finish the story and visit Archives. Stand at the Henry Stein exhibit position for Standing Proud on Steam.
- Replay Chapter 3’s alternate branch. Collect its exclusive recording and finish the chapter for the other path achievement.
For Steam’s Vintage Scares, visit Heavenly Toys during Ink Demon’s Eve. In version 2.1.0, seasonal content runs throughout October and has an Options toggle. Enable it before making that Chapter 3 visit.
